La Vie En Rose

La Vie En Rose

Hold me close and hold me fast
This magic spell you cast
This is La Vie En Rose

When you kiss me, heaven sighs
And though I close my eyes
I see La Vie En Rose

When you press me to your heart
I’m in a world apart
A world where roses bloom

And when you speak, angels, sing from above
Everyday words seem
to turn into love songs

Give your heart and soul to me
And life will always be
La Vie En Rose

La Vie En Rose (Tagalog)

O, daling yakapin mo
Hiwagang natanto
Ito’y La Vie En Roses

Ang langit bugtong hinga
Pikit kong halikan ka
Batid La Vie En Roses

T’wing himbing sa ‘yong dibdib
Sumisibol na daigdig
Ay puno ng bulaklak

Sa iyong tinig langit napa kanta
At wikang bigkas ay parang nagiging awit

Kung puso mo’t kaluluwa
Sa buhay nariyan na
La Vie En Rose

Unsung Lullaby

I wrote this song for a certain moment when you are about to lose someone.
It is described to an unfinished art.

No fame, no recognition, no nothing.

An art without an audience loses its purpose. An art without inspirations has no meaning.

It is the tragedy with the pain that marks your soul.

May it be through death, distance, faltering memories, love or time… losing someone creates who we are after the lost and who we will be after we learn to live with it.

This lost makes a hole in our hearts that creates us…

Here is a little poem I wrote to go with the song.

Tangled and would not break free, I remained.
Like a song, unsung and with no stage then none is gained .
Neither for a gasp of air or a peeking light,
My strength was subdued to submit to my heart’s delight.

When the need I sought that swelled from such loneliness
Is now upon me revealed by your sweet caress
Empty me and your refill will complete me through
For I will never let go of the love I found in you

This song was featured in an Indie Movie “Ben and Sam” which was directed by Shandii Bacolod.

“Unsung Lullaby”

You said “Hello!”
And then “It’s time to go!”
But how could I go on
Now that I finally love you

Simple is goodbye
Faithful’s the one left to cry
Hoping for too long
Denying these words “Indeed I did love you to”

Me without you… Pleads
Me without you… A humbling asking of please
All my prayers recites
Me without you can never be alright

Me without you… Needs Me without you…
Completely begging to breathe
Like a poem greets a sigh
Me without you… Unknown, undone piece to write

Say this won’t last
Say this feelings would pass
Please say my love will end
Cause deep in my heart your name today and again

Me without you… Waits
Me without you… Remeb’ring be an escape
Time will drift slowly by
Me without you will hurt, will bleed way inside

Me without you… Stains
Me without you… A painting crying off pains
No right colors to brush
Me without you… Untouched and stroked made to hush

I was amazing
Until you came and showed my heart
How much it never knew

Me without you… Weeps
Me without you… Amidst those soft fingertips
Running gentle designs
Me without you… Can never be defined

Me without you… Strays
Me without you… Is sadness all of my days
Like a song meant to die
Me without you unheard, unsung lullaby
Me without you unheard, unsung lullaby

Try thus song if you are looking for the best cocktail music genre. Here are the lyrics.

“Stay With You” – John Legend

We’ve been together for a while now
We’re growing stronger everyday now
It feels so good and there’s no doubt
I will stay with you as each morning brings sunrise
And the flowers bloom in springtime
On my love you can rely
And I’ll stay with you

Oh I’ll stay with you through the ups and the downs
Oh I’ll stay with you when no one else is around
And when the dark clouds arrive
I will stay by your side
I know we’ll be alright
I will stay with you

Though relationships can get old
They have the tendency to grow cold
We have something like a miracle
Yeah, and I’ll stay with you

Oh I’ll stay with you through the ups and the downs
Oh I’ll stay with you when no one else is around
And when the dark clouds arrive
I will stay by your side
I know we’ll be alright
I will stay with you

And there will be heartaches and pains, yes it will
But through it all, we will remain
In this life, we all know
Friends may come, and they may go
Through the years I know
I will stay
And in the end I know that we’ll find
Love so beautiful and divine
We’ll be lovers for a lifetime, yeah
And I’ll stay with you
I will stay with you

Oh I’ll stay with you through the ups and the downs
Oh I’ll stay with you when no one else is around
And when the dark clouds arrive
I will stay by your side
I know we’ll be alright
I will stay with you
Everything will be fine
And I will stay with you
Through the end of time
I will stay with you

First Dance At The Garden, Ville Sommet Wedding

Tagaytay Garden Wedding is one of our favorite events to play for. A Ville Sommet Wedding is one of those we love to experience over and over again. The exclusivity and intimacy of a Ville Sommet Wedding is awesome. Their one-event-per-day really makes this place worth every dime. Today, The Ville Sommet Wedding Venue will host the Quiapos – Estrella Wedding.

The Sentimental Groove teams up with Artuz 101 Lights And Sound, Maan Dela Rama Events Coordinator and Black Tie Project Photography.

The Sentimental Groove loves Tagaytay and though we played for numerous times for a Ville Sommet Wedding, our set up today was quite different. The team located themselves in between of the places where the cocktail and ceremony will be held. This idea allowed us to have two frontage. And with a little adjustment, we were able to perform for the cocktails as soon as the ceremonial rites ended.

The Sentimental Groove showcased their versatility by playing religious songs and ballads for the ceremonial rites and a mix of Samba, Bossa Nova, Foxtrot and Jazz while the guests are enjoying the Cocktails food and beverages prepared by Juan Carlo Catering. Artuz 101 Lights And Sound also provided the audio equipment for the outdoor activities. The ceremony, cocktails, cake cutting and first dance was held at the garden. To top it off, a fireworks display as the couple was dancing their first dance under the song, “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran, captivated the guests. That’s how you do a Ville Sommet Wedding!

A Romantic First Dance Idea

This is another song that keeps me wonder. “Did the love birds made it or did they not?” Well, it is still one of the best song I ever encountered that would be great for the first dance. Some people may think that the song meant that they didn’t end up together, ’twas just as close as it could be. Well, for me, it meant differently. I think that they are on to something great. And, everyday is a step closer to a bliss of a life completely with someone you truly love. “So close together, and when I’m with you… So close to feeling alive.” – as the song mentioned sums up the song, I guess.

The last line saying “So close and yet so far” did confuse me at first. But, it occurred to me that when you are travelling or onto a goal with your one true love, anywhere and everywhere will never be too far.

So Close

Vocals: John Mclaughlin

You’re in my arms… And all the world is calm.
The music playing on for only two
So close together, and when I’m with you…
So close to feeling alive…

A life goes by… romantic dreams must die
So I bid mine goodbye and never knew
So close was waiting, waiting here was you
And now forever I know…
All that I want is to hold you so close…

So close to reaching that famous happy end
Almost believing this one’s not pretend
Now you’re beside me, and look how far we’ve come
So far, we are so close

Oh how could I face the faceless days
If I should lose you now?

We’re so close to reaching that famous happy end
Almost believing this one’s not pretend
Let’s go on dreaming though we know we are
So close, so close, and still so far

Check out our cover of this song played at Oasis Manila for the First Dance.

Entwined in each others arms
and a kiss of no tomorrow
Suddenly, each is indistinguishable.

Like vines yearning against an old tree.
Wide not for embrace, height not for sight…
The farthest, they will go.

Unknowing of next, they try.
And, in each inch that they climb the magnificence of old
they know they are always close…

No destination is far beyond reach
Whenever they entwine there’s no space and time
Then… getting there doesn’t really matter.

Latin Music is more than just the beat and rhythm… It’s grace under fire… It’s simply a whole new adventure…

The Sentimental Groove’s

Latin Band Manila

The Sentimental Groove is the country’s first band designed for weddings and events. Being a wedding musician is quite difficult than what it seems. The repertoire should range from the 1920’s to the present. In our goal to sound legit to every character of the music that we play, we are running down every genre, learning every moves, knowing the culture of the people who created the music, understanding the lifestyle of the artist and a lot more. Featured in this video is our journey as a Latin Band Manila.

Latin Band Manila

Kuya Ian Banawa
Life is a sentimental groove!!! A twist of what there is. An improvisation of the what there was. And, an understanding of what there will be.

Latin Music is one of the most useful genre for an events band. It could be used to create an ambiance while the guests are arriving, it can be danced to, it can create a perfect show for an intermission number, and, guests can get drunk partying while dancing to this music.

Latin Band is quite toughy to create. The drama is steamy, sexy and very erotic. Latin Bands is about the confidence you have with your body. It is how you allow the music to enter your body and soul to quantify your urges and how to submit to your indulgences. like a glutton out for more, Latin Music will satisfy our flesh in an inexplicable experience. That’s our goal!

Our team, led by Reynaldo De Guzman, who have been performing since the age of 13 for the “Iggy De Guzman Orchestra”, ensures that the team learns the music with legitimacy in their execution and confidence in their stance.
